The base of the home and the characters could be found, though many objects and details about the house and surrouding area were missing. Germ's mother was seen with a different outfit, while Gramma was missing her body entirely aside from her head. Prior to the release of the Weird Autumn Edition, data for the game could be found within the games files.Germ states that Gregg has never visited his house before, and presumably Mae is the only person he's invited over.Germ seems to regard the woods as his "backyard", or at least the immediate area where the well is located.While Bea's home can only be visited once, the outside of her apartment building is passed by frequently throughout the game. Germ is the only main character whose house doesn't appear during the main game and can only be seen during his sidequest.After dinner, Germ explains he brought Mae up since she doesn't seem like she knows where she's going and wanted her to be able to relax for a while. There, she meets Germ's father and one of his uncles, and carries on a conversation with them before eating Sloppy Joe's with them afterwards. Mae is introduced to Germ's mother and Gramma, having an awkward conversation with Gramma regarding her personally.Īfterwards, Mae joins Germ outside on the trampoline. Germ states his uncles are visiting, explaining the numerous cars outside, and that he invited Mae over for "Adults Night" as his sisters are out at church. Nearby the house in the woods is a well that connects to the Coal Mine.ĭuring the final hangout with Germ, he takes Mae to his house. The house is located somewhere in the woods, surrounded by trees. Behind the house, a gas tank and stacks of firewood are seen, while a trampoline is place behind the back patio. A tire can be seen tied to a tree in the front of the house, said to be used by Germ's sisters and cousins.
The outside of the house features several cars, with a small canopy used as a garage. The ground floor is known to consist of a small kitchen serving as the entrance and a living room. The house is two-stories tall, the second floor being unseen. Its first and only appearance is seen during the final hangout with Germ, where he brings Mae Borowski to visit his house and family.
It is also stated that Germ's uncles frequently visit. The Night in the Woods development team clarified via Twitter that the new Weird Autumn content has a high risk of breaking saves for the base game, so players are encouraged to either turn off auto-updates on their platform of choice and finish up their current save, or simply start a new save file if they want to immidiatly experience the Weird Autumn additions.The Warton Household is located in the woods outside of Possum Springs and is home to Germ Warfare, his mother, his father, Gramma, and his sisters. Perhaps the most substantial difference between the base Night in the Woods game and the Weird Autumn version is that the two previously-released side adventures Longest Night and Lost Constellation, adventures which were offered as standalone experiences to Night in the Woods’ Kickstarter backers, have now been integrated into the core game, giving all players a chance to experience them.

A few months ago, it was announced that the quirky indie game Night in the Woods would be getting a special director’s cut edition called ‘Weird Autumn.’ Now, that edition has officially arrived, allowing both new and returning players to partake in the definitive Night in the Woods experience.Īccording to reports which have been filtering in from both the Night in the Woods Steam page and Reddit (the game’s development team didn’t release any sort of patch notes for the Weird Autumn update), the new changes and additions that have been added into the director’s cut aren’t very substantial, but they do include the following:
